Surah Al-Fatiha (The Opening) - 1
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ
English Translation: In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. [All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds - The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, Sovereign of the Day of Recompense. It is You we worship and You we ask for help. Guide us to the straight path - The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have earned [Your] anger or of those who are astray.
Roman Transliteration: Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Raheem. Alhamdu lillahi Rabbil 'aalameen. Ar-Rahman ir-Raheem. Maaliki Yawmid-Deen. Iyyaka na'budu wa iyyaka nasta'een. Ihdinas-Siraatal Mustaqeem. Siraatal-lazeena an'amta 'alaihim ghayril-maghdoobi 'alaihim wa lad-daaalleen.
Surah Al-Ikhlas (Sincerity) - 112
قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ
اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ
لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ
وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
English Translation: Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent."
Roman Transliteration: Qul huwal laahu ahad. Allahus-Samad. Lam yalid wa lam yoolad. Wa lam yakul-lahu kufuwan ahad.
Surah Al-Falaq (The Daybreak) - 113
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ
مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ
وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ
وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ
English Translation: Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, From the evil of that which He created, And from the evil of darkness when it settles, And from the evil of the blowers in knots, And from the evil of an envier when he envies."
Roman Transliteration: Qul a'oothu birabbil-falaq. Min sharri maa khalaq. Wa min sharri ghaasiqin ithaa waqab. Wa min sharrin-naffaa-thaati fil 'uqad. Wa min sharri haasidin ithaa hasad.
Surah An-Nas (Mankind) - 114
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ
مَلِكِ النَّاسِ
إِلَـٰهِ النَّاسِ
مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ
الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ
مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ
English Translation: Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, The Sovereign of mankind, The God of mankind, From the evil of the retreating whisperer - Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind - From among the jinn and mankind."
Roman Transliteration: Qul a'oothu birabbin-naas. Malikin-naas. Ilaahin-naas. Min sharril-waswaasil-khannaas. Allathee yuwaswisu fee sudoorin-naas. Minal-jinnati wan-naas.
Surah Ya-Sin (Ya Sin) - 36 (Selected Verses)
يس
وَالْقُرْآنِ الْحَكِيمِ
إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
تَنزِيلَ الْعَزِيزِ الرَّحِيمِ
English Translation: Ya Sin. By the wise Qur'an. Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers, On a straight path. [This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
Roman Transliteration: Ya Sin. Wal-Qur'anil-Hakeem. Innaka laminal mursaleen. 'Ala siratim mustaqeem. Tanzeelal 'Azeezir Raheem.
Surah Al-Mulk (The Sovereignty) - 67 (Selected Verses)
تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْمَوْتَ وَالْحَيَاةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفُورُ
English Translation: Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion, and He is over all things competent - [He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving.
Roman Transliteration: Tabarakallazi biyadihil-mulku wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer. Allazi khalaqal mawta wal-hayata liyabluwakum ayyukum ahsanu 'amala; wa huwal 'azizul ghafoor.
